ROMAN
IMPERIAL "ATERNITATI" SILVER DENARIUS COIN PENDANT MEANING
"ETERNITY"
IN 14K YELLOW GOLD
238
- 244 A.D.
This
amazing MINT CONDITION ancient
silver antoninianus GENUINE Roman coin possesses rare, exquisite detail.
It was minted during the rule of the Roman emperor Gordian III. It
has been mounted to show its a fantastic reverse side depiction of the
naked Roman sun god SOL holding a globe with the inscription AETERNITATI
AUG meaning eternity for or stability from the emperor. It is a
perfect piece for those wishing to commemorate or memoralize any
personal meaning to ETERNITY.
This coin pendant would make
a memorable and highly sentimental anniversary or wedding gift for that
ETERNAL love.
This coin shows the finest detail. The lustrous brightness of the genuine ancient pure
silver coin wonderfully contrasts with the 14K polished yellow gold KEY
design of the pendant. This is a VERY LARGE coin pendant (larger
than the size of a US silver dollar!) and the artwork is
perfectly centered and with very high relief and crispness that is
even better than the photo shows above. For both its beauty and
meaning, this is an incredible wearable artifact.
This impressive
ancient Roman coin was minted during the rule of Gordian III. Being only 19 years of age,
Gordian was influenced heavily by his household acquaintances. During his
reign, the Persians again invaded Syria. When Gordian entered Antioch at
the head of a large army, the Persians immediately retreated. However
during his stay, Gordian's total reluctance on his mother and other family
members became clear. Thus the eastern armies opted for a new commander
and the tragic cycle continued as young Gordian was killed.
A very large and
impressive pendant at 35mm in overall diameter.
